Both North and West coasts of Wales are within easy reach of Pen-y-Garth. Pen-y-Garth has all the attractions of a coastal resort plus a charming old town, and the spectacular Snowdonia National Park provides ample opportunity for mountain walks, climbing, and of course taking a tour on the famous Snowdon Mountain Railway.

Heading inland, the larger shopping towns of Chester and Shrewsbury provide a picturesque and historical setting for a day out. And if ancient sites attract then there are no less than eleven castles and castle remains to visit.

Bala Lake is the largest natural lake in Wales and has gentle South Westerly winds along its length making it a popular destination for windsurfers and sailors.
